Strategic Planning Day

Dear Buxton Community,

This is a friendly reminder to RSVP to our upcoming Strategic Planning Community Day! We would love for as many of you as are able to join our Strategic Planning Team and the Board of Trustees to play an important part in shaping the future of our beloved school. It’s important that we receive a response to save your spot at the event.

We are also asking participants to bring a small artifact that represents your time at Buxton. It could be a piece of art or school work, a yearbook, or even a photo – something that illustrates a meaningful story about your experience with Buxton.

Future of Buxton School: Strategic Planning Community Day

This session will build on the strategic planning team’s extensive listening and research developed by our consultant, Shu Shu Costa of Leadership + Design, and harness our collective imaginations to shape the future of Buxton School. Your participation will influence, inspire, and inform the strategic plan’s direction.

What to Expect

This is your opportunity to work directly with the strategic planning team and help build strategies. Participants can plan to:

• Meet members of the Strategic Planning Committee
• Hear about the work that has happened thus far on the strategic plan
• Review summaries of the issues, needs, and opportunities that have emerged in the first phase of work
• Brainstorm potential initiatives the school might undertake in each area
• Collaborate with a wide array of respective constituencies, such as parents, alumni, faculty, leadership, students, and
• various community members alike
• Prototype one or more ideas for consideration in the final strategic plan
• Refreshments and lunch will be provided
